The music score was by Neal Hefti who composed music for many Films and TV shows including: How to Murder Your Wife (1965) Barefoot in the Park (1967) The Odd Couple (1968) 19th November 1972 – The Way West, a 1967 Western starring Kirk Douglas, Robert Mitchum, Richard Widmark and Sally Field was screened in the Hall (source: General Film Distributors Ltd letter dated 9th November 1972). 26th November 1972 – Bandolero, a 1968 Western starring Jimmy Stewart, Dean Martin and Raquel Welch was screened in the Hall (General Film Distributors Ltd letter dated 9th November 1972). 144 3rd December 1972 – From Russia with Love, a 1963 Bond movie, starring Sean Connery (as Bond), Robert Shaw, Daniela Bianchi and Lois Maxwell (as Miss Moneypenny) was screened in the Hall (source: a Hall Notepad, also a General Films Distributors letter dated 22nd November 1972). The film was based on Ian Fleming's 1957 novel of the same name. 16th December 1972 – Return of the Bad Men, a 1948 Western starring Randolph Scott, Robert Ryan and Anne Jeffreys was screened in the Hall (source: Hall Journal notes). Support feature was Season 1, Episode 2 of 1966 TV Series The Girl From Uncle: The Prisoner of Zalamar Affair starring Stefanie Powers (as April Dancer), Noel Harrison and Leo G. Carroll (source: Hall Journal notes). 17th December 1972 – Support Your Local Sheriff, a 1969 comedy Western, starring James Garner, was screened in the Hall (source: a Hall Notepad, also a General Films Distributors letter dated 22nd November 1972). 22nd to 23rd December 1972 – Santa Claus visited the Hall on these dates, as reported in the Connacht Tribune of 16th December 1972, pages 5 & 6. Connacht Tribune 15th December 1972, page 6 carried the following under the heading SANTA ARRIVES: “Santa Claus... is paying a return visit on Friday and Saturday next in the Town Hall from 3 to 6 pm. He will be here again on December 22nd and 23rd.
