Technicolor.” 2nd January 1966 – 1962 Double Oscar winning movie, 128 The Miracle Worker, starring Anne Bancroft and Patty Duke, was screened in the Hall, (source: Hall Journal, see also Connacht Tribune 1st January 1966, page 11). 6th February 1966 – Connacht Tribune, 5th February 1966, page 15, includes a Town Hall Cinema advertisement for a Comedy called Crooks in Cloisters (1964) screened in the Hall at 8:45pm on this date (confirmed by Hall Journal entry). 129 It starred Barbara Windsor, Bernard Cribbins, Ronald Frazer and Melvyn Hayes. 20th February 1966 – Connacht Tribune, 19th February 1966, page 17, includes a Town Hall Cinema advertisement for a movie called Critic’s Choice, a 1963 movie starring Bob Hope & Lucille Ball, to be screened in the Hall at 8:45pm on this date (confirmed by Hall Journal entry). 20th March 1966 – Connacht Tribune, 19th March 1966, page 15, includes a Town Hall Cinema advertisement for a 1964 Comedy called Carry On Jack, starring Kenneth Williams, Juliet Mills & Bernard Cribbins, which was screened in the Hall at 8:45pm (confirmed by Hall Journal entry, NB: it would be screened again on 26th March 1967, see Tribune 24/03/1967). 22th to 24th March 1966 – Connacht Tribune, 19th March 1966, page 15, includes an advertisement for the Athenry Players performing Home is the Hero, by Walter Macken, in the Hall on these dates (the Hall Journal confirms the Players were booked in for those dates). 10th April 1966 – The Haunting, a 1963 Horror movie starring Claire Bloom, Russ Tamblyn and Julie Harris, was screened in the Hall at 9pm (source: Hall Journal, see also Connacht Tribune, 9th April 1966, page 15). 15th May 1966 – Invaders from Mars, a 1953 Sci-Fi movie starring Helena Carter and Leif Erickson was screened in the Hall at 9pm (source: Hall Journal, see also Connacht Tribune, 14th May 1966, page 15). 19th May 1966 – Robin and the Seven Hoods, a 1964 movie starring Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Bing Crosby was screened in the Hall at 9pm (source: Hall Journal, see also Connacht Tribune 14th May 1966, page 15). 26th June 1966 – Spencer's Mountain, a 1963 movie starring Henry Fonda, Maureen O'Hara, James MacArthur, Veronica Cartwright, and Victor French was screened in the Hall (source: Hall Journal, see also Connacht Tribune, 25th June 1966, page 15).
