NB: The screenplay is loosely based on the HC McNeile novel Knock-Out, (written under the pen name Sapper). The Hall Journal records the title as, Bulldog Drummond Strikes at Dawn, but we could identify no film with this title. 18th June 1946 – Down Argentine Way, a 1940 Twentieth Century Fox Musical starring Don Ameche, Betty Grable (in her first leading role), Carmen Miranda, Charlotte Greenwood and J Carrol Naish was screened in the Hall by Daniel Ryan (source: Hall Journal). 20th June 1946 – Paradise Island, a 1930 Tiffany Pictures Adventure Film starring Kenneth Harlan, Marceline Day and Tom Santschi was screened in the Hall by Daniel Ryan (source: Hall Journal). 23rd June 1946 – Dangerous Journey, a 1944 Twentieth Century Fox Documentary covering expeditions to parts of North and South America, India and Burma (now called Myanmar) was screened in the Hall by Daniel Ryan (source: Hall Journal).
