Frank Morgan, Richard Carlson, Jean Rogers, Porter Hall, Robert Barrat, Donald MacBride, Walter Baldwin and Andrew Tombes star. NB: Would be screened again on 20th February 1948 by O Smith. 26th November 1945 – Queen of Broadway, a 1942 Producers Releasing Corporation Drama was screened in the Hall by Daniel Ryan (source: Hall Journal). Rochelle Hudson, Buster Crabbe, Paul Bryar, Emmett Lynn, Donald Mayo and Isabelle La Mal star in this film. 28th November 1945 – Holy Matrimony, a 1943 Twentieth Century Fox Comedy starring Monty Woolley, Gracie Fields, Laird Cregar, Una O'Connor, Alan Mowbray, Franklin Pangborn, Eric Blore and George Zucco was screened in the Hall by Daniel Ryan (source: Hall Journal). NB: The screenplay was based on Arnold Bennett’s 1908 Comedy novel, Buried Alive. 30th November 1945 – Two Señoritas (from Chicago), a 1943 Columbia Pictures Musical Comedy was screened in the Hall by Daniel Ryan (source: Hall Journal). It stars Joan Davis, Jinx Falkenburg, Ann Savage, Leslie Brooks and Bob Haymes. 3rd December 1945 – The Woman of the Town, a 1943 United Artists Western was screened in the Hall by Daniel Ryan (source: Hall Journal). This film stars Claire Trevor, Albert Dekker, Barry Sullivan, Henry Hull, Marion Martin, Porter Hall, Percy Kilbride and Beryl Wallace. 5th December 1945 – Chip Off the Old Block, a 1944 Universal Pictures Musical Comedy was screened by Daniel Ryan (source: Hall Journal). It stars Donald O'Connor, Peggy Ryan, Ann Blyth and Helen Vinson. 8th December 1945 – None Shall Escape, a 1944 Columbia Pictures WW2 film starring Marsha Hunt, Alexander Knox, Henry Travers, Erik Rolf, Richard Crane, Dorothy Morris, Richard Hale and Ruth Nelson was screened in the Hall by Daniel Ryan (source: Hall Journal). 9th December 1945 – San Diego, I Love You, a 1944 Universal Pictures Comedy starring Jon Hall, Louise Allbritton, Edward Everett Horton, Eric Blore and Irene Ryan was screened by Daniel Ryan (source: the Hall Journal). 11th December 1945 – My Son the Hero, a 1943 Atlantis Pictures Comedy starring Patsy Kelly, Roscoe Karns, Joan Blair, Carol Hughes, Maxie Rosenbloom and Luis Alberni was screened by Daniel Ryan (source: Hall Journal). NB: The Journal records the film title as My Hero but we could find no film with that title from this era. 13th & 14th December 1945 – The Sullivans (aka The Fighting Sullivans) a 1944 Twentieth Century Fox WW2 film (based on a true story) starring Anne Baxter, Thomas Mitchell, Edward Ryan, Selena Royle, John Campbell, James Cardwell, John Alvin and George Offerman Jr was screened in the Hall by Daniel Ryan (source: Hall Journal). NB: Would be screened again on 15th August 1962. 16th December 1945 – Irish Hearts, (aka Doughboys in Ireland), a 1943 Columbia Pictures Musical Comedy starring Kenny Baker, Jeff Donnell, Lynn Merrick, The Jesters and (in an early screen role) Robert Mitchum was screened in the Hall by Daniel Ryan (source: Hall Journal). NB: Lynn Merrick’s real name was Marilyn Llewelling. This film would be screened in the Hall again in October 1956. Not to be confused with Irish Hearts (1927), a Warner Bros Silent Comedy screened in the Hall in November 1938, see above. 18th December 1945 – Harrigan's Kid, a 1943 MGM Drama starring Bobby Readick, Frank Craven, William Gargan and J Carrol Naish was screened in the Hall by Daniel Ryan (source: Hall Journal). 20th December 1945 – Dear Octopus (aka The Randolph Family), a 1943 General Film Distributors Comedy starring Margaret Lockwood, Michael Wilding and Celia Johnson was screened in the Hall by Daniel Ryan (source: Hall Journal). 23rd December 1945 – Air Raid Wardens, a 1943 MGM Comedy starring Laurel & Hardy along with Edgar Kennedy, Jacqueline White, Stephen McNally, Nella Walker & Robert Emmett O’Connor was screened in the Hall by Daniel Ryan (source: Hall Journal).
